The most disturbing accommodation experience I’ve had in years of international travel Negative: I cannot recommend strongly enough that you NOT stay at this property. Booking.com ultimately advised me to leave for my safety, relocated me, and refunded my stay. The problems began the moment I arrived. At approximately 1:00 AM after a very long international journey, the entry code I had been given did not work. With no Wi-Fi or working mobile service, thank God the restaurant next door was still open and a kind employee let me use his phone to contact the host so I could finally gain access. I then stayed at the property for nearly a week without incident. Everything changed when the host demanded an additional $85 cleaning fee despite my having confirmation from Booking.com that I had already paid it. She claimed Booking.com had not given the money to her. The situation then escalated dramatically. At approximately 10:30 AM, the host sent a neighbor to my door to tell me I had to leave by noon. I simultaneously began receiving extremely long, increasingly alarming messages — some literally pages long — containing bizarre personal claims completely unrelated to my stay, threats involving police, attorneys and video footage, and allegations of criminal conduct. I had done absolutely nothing wrong. I contacted Booking.com and provided them with all of the messages. After reviewing what had transpired, they determined that the situation warranted my immediate departure and instructed me to leave the property. Booking.com handled the matter from there, ensuring that I had alternative accommodations and resolving the stay entirely in my favor. I have traveled extensively for years and have never experienced anything remotely like this. I cannot recommend strongly enough that prospective guests choose somewhere else to stay.

Great overall experience! Positive: Super cute, very spacious, loved the decor and our host Alison as amazing! Great location as well. A few minutes to Daikin Park too. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding accommodation in a great location! Positive: The attention to detail, cleanliness and comfortable accommodations make me want to come back and stay at Montrose Stays again. There’s a lot to do in this walkable neighborhood. Lots of nice restaurants, an HEB and even museums are just a few blocks away in both directions. I would’ve liked to stay longer than five days. The owner - Alison- was very helpful and friendly; she’s truly the hostess with the mostest! Negative: Nothing at all. It was very nice!
